Mental Health

At Beerwah Family Clinic, we recognise that mental health is just as important as physical health. Our team is committed to providing compassionate, confidential, and comprehensive mental health support for people of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.

We understand that mental health concerns can affect every aspect of life, relationships, work, sleep, appetite, and overall wellbeing. Whether you’re experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or other emotional difficulties, our experienced GPs are here to listen, support, and guide you toward recovery and resilience.

Our mental health services include:

  • Mental Health Assessments
  • Development of Mental Health Care Plans (MHCPs) for access to Medicare-rebated psychology sessions
  • Medication management when appropriate
  • Support for chronic mental health conditions such as bipolar disorder or schizophrenia
  • Youth and adolescent mental health support
  • Perinatal and postnatal mental health care for new and expectant parents
  • Aged care and dementia-related support
  • Referrals to psychologists, psychiatrists, and other professionals when needed

We offer a safe and non-judgmental environment where you can speak openly about how you’re feeling. Our team takes a holistic approach, considering both medical and lifestyle factors that contribute to mental wellness.

If you or a loved one is struggling, you don’t have to face it alone. We are here to support you every step of the way.
